The Association of Canadian Distillers, Traffic Injury Research Foundation, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), the Brewers Association of Canada and the International Snowmobile Manufacturers Association all assisted in the creation of Transport Canada's SMASHED magazine. The magazine was launched on August 24, 1999 at the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police conference in Hamilton.

The magazine features articles on impaired driving. You will find information on how breathalyzers work, the effects of alcohol and much more.
